With our Profibus products you can easily connect VMEbus systems to the fieldbus Profibus-DP.
The Profibus-DP protocol ist completely done by the "on-boad-firmware".
So you do not need a complex Profibus programing on the user side.
There are two different types of interfaces:
Profibus Masters and Profibus Slaves.
With a Profibus-DP Master you can connect I/O-modules a peripherial components to you VME system.
For example you have a robot controller based on VMEbus and you want to connect digital I/O for controlling a transport equipment to your system.
With a Profibus-DP-Slave you can integrate your VMEbus system into a higher Profibus network.
For example you have a roboter based on VMEbus which should be controlled by a higher PLC.
In this case the PLC is the Master on the Profibus and your VME system (robot) acts a peripherial I/O component on the PLC system.

Profibus-DP Master for VMEbus systems. Available with 3 U or 6 U front

VMEprofS Profibus DP Slave
Profibus-DP Slave for VMEbus systems. Available with 3 U or 6 U front panel.
DPkonfig
Configuration software for our Profibus masters running on a
standard Windows PC.
